Emerald Island Resort Villas

Emerald Island is a newer gated community offering 3 to 7-bedroom executive villas within a woodland area. Guests can enjoy the clubhouse with a spa and sauna, exercise room, games arcade and internet café. Outside there is a communal pool and children's play areas, along with nature trails around the surrounding lakes and woodland.

On the nearby highway US192 there is an Aldi, Walgreens, other smaller shops, eateries and service stations. Head east on US192 for the Rolling Oaks shopping complex, where you will find a Publix supermarket and Super Target. Travel further east towards Kissimmee for the Formosa Gardens Village shopping complex and a Walmart supercenter at the junction with Old Lake Wilson Rd. Within these complexes and on the stretch of US192 between there are a variety of restaurants, which include Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze, Ford's Garage, Bonefish Grill, Cheddar's, Outback Steakhouse, Red Lobster, TGI Fridays and Giordano's Italian restaurant. You will also find a selection of pizzerias, a Chinese take-away, sushi bar and many fast-food restaurants including Subway, Taco Bell and Dairy Queen.

When travelling to the attractions at Walt Disney World Resort, you have the option of taking highway US192 (the main road through to Kissimmee), the less-busy western SR429 toll route or the more direct Interstate 4. For Universal Studios, SeaWorld and the International Drive area, head north on Interstate 4 towards Orlando. The Beachline Expressway SR528 is also accessible from Interstate 4 and is the best route for Orlando International airport, Kennedy Space Center and Cocoa Beach.

For the Gulf coast and Busch Gardens, head south on Interstate 4 towards Tampa. For Legoland Florida, head south on highway US27 at the intersection with Interstate 4.
